Random Acts of Kindness...

I was the recipient of a random act of kindness a couple days ago. It was so nice to see that there is still a common decency among humankind that I thought I would share. My "BugGuy" as the kids like to call him (Erlich person) was over the other morning doing his quarterly treatment... I have had the same exterminator for a couple years now so we always chat a little when he is over doing his thing.. Anyway, I went to grab the last donut that I was SPECIFICALLY saving for my morning coffee only to discover it was GONE!!! Apparantly Mike had decided it would make a great midnight snack the night before... Needless to say I was quite distraught over this... I was really looking forward to that donut! This got us on the conversation of donuts and which ones we liked best and I mentioned that I thought Dunkin Donuts were the best.. etc. etc... The BugGuy finishes his work and leaves... About 15 minutes later he calls me.. (I am thinking.. did he forget something?) No, he just wanted to tell me I had a package on my front porch.. OK, I thank him and go to retrieve it and what do I find but a little box of Dunkin Donuts with a donut for me and each of the kids in it. Something so little and simple but it really touched me.. very very kind of him. So to all of you out there.. if you come across a really nasty person, just think of this story, and believe that there are also many many people out there who are decent. The good always outweighs the bad! Now I need to make a concious effort to "pay it forward..", I don't believe I do it nearly enough.
