Yep, they did it... The chicks have officially fledged. I knew it was getting close to time and when I got up this morning they were gone. No goodbye or anything! That's gratitude for you... AND they left a huge mess!!!! My plant is going to need some major TLC to survive their occupancy... But as Mike said, it was sacrificed for a greater cause... Beautifying my front porch was nowhere near as important as providing safe haven for two more birds to be raised in this world.
Yuck. Look at all that poop! She may have been a phenomenal, protective Momma but her housekeeping skills sucked! Eeewwww....
