At long last...

Let me first start off by saying that I LOVE my diamond! When Mike proposed to me 12 years ago, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect ring for me. He did a phenomonal job of picking out my dream diamond. Saying that, I have to also say that I have never been fully happy with the setting that it was in. Well, that's not true, I LOVED my engagement ring setting, I was just not happy with how they incorporated my wedding band. They made it to "fit" around my engagement ring, hence I was never able to just remove my diamond and still have my band on. That has always bothered me. Call me old-fashioned, but I feel that my wedding band is a part of me and should never be removed. So for the past 11 years, I have always harbored a secret desire to get it changed someday...

Well, as fate would have it, a few weeks ago my diamond fell out.. After a few panic-stricken moments, I miraculously found it, lying under the Christmas tree just as though it was an early Christmas present waiting to be discovered. (Mike is convinced that I secretly banged my ring against the counter to make it "accidently" break, I swear honey, that is not the case!!) Well, obviously I can't go around without any rings on, it needed to be fixed!! So.. instead of paying money to reset my beautiful diamond into a setting I wasn't happy with, Mike and I agreed it was the perfect time to "upgrade", as you will. I now have a seperate band that will never leave my finger, and a beautiful setting for my diamond, which just showcases the gorgeous stone. I love it, it is perfect, so thank you honey, for the beautiful diamond, and the beautiful rings. They will be treasured for our long, long lifetime together and beyond.
