Can I just say how excited the kids were this Christmas Eve!! Mikey didn't stop running, Maria couldn't stop smiling, and Lillian couldn't stop jiggling!! What a fun-filled day we had. Of course we had to make Santa his cookies, and what excellent cookies they were. The best I have ever tasted! The playroom was prepped for all the new toys the kids were hoping to get.. (I tell the kids that Santa needs room to put new toys so Christmas Eve is the ONE day of the year that all the kids get in there and willingly, even giddily, pick up.. Maria even vacuumed!) After a music/dancing filled dinner comprising of all their favorite snacks in the living room, sibling presents were exchanged and opened. The reindeer food was sprinkled on the front lawn, cookies, carrots, and milk were set out, the location of Santa was verified and off to bed it was! THREE hours later I think they finally drifted off in sweet slumber. Can you believe that!!! Three hours!!! Mikey and Lillian were so excited they just couldn't settle down...
